Vitriol Artist

Shame on everyone who are looking at Democrats and pointing fingers, saying that the vitriol must stop.

YOUR president, Donald J. Trump, is the person to blame for ALL of the current vitriol going on in this country presently.

He advocates and incites violence with his words and actions.

BEFORE even running for president, he was recorded bragging about using his power, celebrity and stature to sexual assault women. He publicly abused Rosie O'Donnell for YEARS and YEARS. He would use his position with the Miss Universe Pageant to walk in on unclothed women in dressing rooms.

DURING his campaign, he called for Hillary Clinton's assassination. He asked a foreign government to hack her campaign. He offered to pay for legal fees for his supporters that committed violent acts upon the opposition. He called an entire country's people (Mexico) rapists and criminals. And he made countless campaign promises that targeted people certain groups of people.

SINCE being inaugurated he has only continued with this vitriol. He has time and time again tried to instate a travel ban for certain countries based solely on a particular religion. He has continued to put for the idea of building a wall to keep out "certain people" -- an act of vitriol in and of itself. He has continued to publicly disparage Hillary Clinton. He has appointed people to the heads of organizations that are directly opposed to the very organizations itself. He has not spoken up when a supporter of his MURDERED in cold blood people trying to interfere with his hate crime. He tweets on an almost daily basis what can only be labeled as hate-filled vitriol at any one he considers to be an "enemy", be it Hillary Clinton, the mainstream media or anyone -- big or small -- considered a journalist. And for the person who is supposed to be the leader of our ENTIRE country, he has never even ONCE reached out to the people who didn't vote for him to reassure that he would be a leader for all citizens.

DONALD TRUMP IS THE MOST VIOLENT, HATE-FILLED VITRIOL-ARTIST IN MODERN HISTORY. HE MUST BE STOPPED. AND WE MUST STOP HIM.

Grandma Bernice: The New Propaganda Machine

In this age of the Internet and social media, propaganda is not just the work and ammunition of governments and political parties anymore. Any run of the mill human being can now join in on the fun of spreading lies and misinformation just like their favorite underhanded politicians.

In just one afternoon on Facebook, you can see dozens of articles, click bait and videos promoting false angles on news stories in addition to the straight-out lies being floated around.

And even though we may see that these stories have originated from websites or organizations that are fueled by alternative facts, also known as fiction, most of the time we see them because a friend or family member has shared them.

We are assaulted with this propaganda every day of our lives and multiple times a day at that, either from some random trashy pop-up or a hate-filed meme that Grandma Bernice shared implying that illegal immigrants collect welfare and she can solve the problem by typing "Amen".

This new society of ours is moving and expanding at such a rate that we're not even aware that we've become the yellow journalists of the past. Who needs unethical reporters when our own citizens can spread gross exaggeration much easier?

When @POTUS45 said live and on the air that Chicago was worse than Afghanistan and that people were being shot left and right, real reporters across the country did their homework and checked his false figures. Real journalists and writers began immediately shedding light on his lies while the yellow journalists out in the Interwebs began to spread his disease of misinformation like wildfire.

Sure, a number of "real" news outlets have stoked the flames but even those are finding it hard to completely ignore the lies coming out of our current administration. But have the great citizens of our country who follow our @POTUS so blindly been listening to these organizations that they once loved to quote outright?

No. No, they're not.

They've been ignoring anyone with a degree and the ability to put two words together and opted instead to become the wheels of their own propaganda machine. They latch on to anyone they can find with a matching opinion and a loud enough voice and then throw their false facts, their exaggerated claims without one speck of research behind them and their righteous indignation to the masses.

And we of the world are their victims.

Eulogy

The United States of America is officially dying. As 2016 comes to a close, our country struggles to take its lasts breaths. We say goodbye to a beloved President and First Family, the first African-American First Family and are forced to shake hands with the person who questioned our leader's birth certificate for 8 years. We not only rewarded the man who demanded proof of a man's American citizenship because of the color of his skin but we gave the completely unqualified monster his job.

We're exiting a time of prosperity and health and being asked to be led by a man who didn't win the popular vote, very much like we did at the beginning of this century. And whether we realize it or not, many of us are getting flashbacks to a time when our solution to terrorist attacks was to wage wars against the wrong enemy. The only difference is that where many of us thought that George W. Bush was the wrong choice, we didn't desperately fear what his presidency would bring. We didn't cry for the careless disregard that was being given to our constitution. We didn't tremble over the numerous similarities between our new leader and the leader of the Third Reich.

Each day that goes by, the man who lost the popular vote by over two and a half million (and counting) people pieces together his cabinet with person after person who is hoping to dismantle the beauty of our country. The country that takes care of its people through the education of its youth is faced with a woman who wants the quality of your children's education to be determined by your salary. The new head of the Environmental Protection Agency is the person least interested in protecting the environment. If this man had stock in bubble wrap, he'd tell you that our best bet for keeping our planet safe would be to paper the whole fucking place with that shit. And then he'd remind us how fun it is to pop it just so we'd have to buy more and redo the wrapping job. Our new labor secretary, a fast food CEO, isn't all that fond of labor and prides himself on his ability to sell the ultimate American dream: a busty blonde in a bikini eating a cheeseburger. The list goes on and each choice is worse than the one it follows.

Our President-Elect has been lying about jobs he saved, taking credit for jobs he has nothing to do with, has given the go-ahead to a potential tech monopoly, has gone on countless Twitter rants and embarrassing SNL rages that are the stuff of maniacal dictators and is currently holding a self-congratulatory Thank You Tour.

The United States is dying.

You know what, though? Maybe this is for the best. Maybe The United States of America, as it was, does need to come to an end. This nation was started under some thoroughly wonderful ideology and a finely crafted constitution and even before we put it into place, we were violating it.

How can you build a country of equality on the bones of the people whose land you stole to do so? How can the foundation of a truly equal nation stay strong when it's built by the work of slaves? And how can a flag stand for liberty and justice for all when it was sewn by a woman whose gender still isn't as "all" as another?

There are so many things that The United States got right. There is so much for us to be proud of. And yet, to tell the full truth, we have to admit that we're a country that has hypocrisy woven into our fibers. We pledge freedoms and still limit people's control of their own bodies. We promise justice when we regularly blame victims and absolve authority without a second glance. And we make caricatures of real people and then claim they're our tradition.

Maybe there was no way to build the country we wanted using the methods we employed before. Maybe there was no way to fix the mistakes we made when more people weren't joining in the fight. We can't just fight for our own rights, we have to fight for the rights of all.

I can't just care about the rights of white women just because I am one. I have to care about the rights of all people, of all genders, of all identities. I have to join hands with people who don't look like me or sound like me or love like me and pledge to fight just as hard for their rights as I do my own. If I don't, then not only do I not deserve the rewards but I haven't actually worked for them.

Maybe this will be our Rebirth of a Nation. Maybe this was our only way to survive. Maybe this is how we save our country, instead of how we lose it

Grabbed by the Pussy, Again

As a woman, I have been grabbed in the pussy by an astonishing number of men and as every woman out there knows, it happens way too early to most of us. The first time I was literally (and I am using the word literally, literally) grabbed in the pussy by a "man" was when I was in the 7th grade. It was a fellow classmate and it was in the middle of the school day at my locker.

I hardly knew this guy. We had homeroom together and that was pretty much the extent of our relationship. We didn't get along. He would pick on me -- maybe not daily but definitely weekly and our homeroom teacher, although not a fan of his, didn't do anything to ever stop him. Generally speaking, I didn't sit quietly and just take his abuse. If he picked on me, in my 7th grade language, I let him know that his presence in my life was unnecessary and unwanted and that above all else, he was a dick.

One day, standing at my locker, I was bending over to put books and whatnot away while he was walking down the hall. As he came by, he reached his grubby hand between my legs and grabbed a hold of my 14 year old pussy.

To this day, I remember that moment clearly. I remember how disgusting it felt to have someone, uninvited, touch me there. I remember feeling used and dirty as soon as it happened, looking around to see if anyone at all had seen. My fucking 14 year old emotions couldn't process what had happened. Part of me wanted there to be someone else who witnessed it, to be enraged with me. But honestly, the bigger part of me felt ashamed and embarrassed. I wanted to crawl into a hole and curl up. I wanted to sink into the ground and disappear.

The sick and sad thing is, that wasn't the first time a guy touched me inappropriately and without consent. And I know, as a woman, I'm not alone there at all. And the reason why this piece of shit kid felt like it was okay for him to do something like that is because of attitudes like our current President Elect's.

Men have, since the beginning of time, used a woman's body to berate her, shame her, stifle her, belittle her and own her. Not all men. This isn't a men-bashing piece but it is honest and these are just facts. Countries have excused it. People have ignored it. Women have accepted it. And religions have condoned and enforced it.

Now that this election is behind us, we stand a nation divided. Those who didn't vote for Trump are being urged to make nice but we've crossed a line that you can't uncross.

Almost exactly half of our voting nation chose the candidate that represents hate. Almost half of our country chose a candidate who bragged about sexual assault, who was openly and fiercely racist and who has proposed several courses of action straight out of World War II.

We have people who talked about Obama's birth certificate and denounced him as President for eight years calling us crybabies for being upset that we demanded an America that doesn't include police harassment of people of color and college rapists who serve little to no time and were denied by our family, friends and neighbors. We had people that we worship with cast a vote that chose their political agenda over American civil rights.

How is it we're supposed to move on from this?

How is it we're supposed to look at you the same way?

How is it we're supposed to trust you?

President Elect Trump is the least of our problems. Sure, putting the words "Commander in Chief" next to his name is tantamount to inciting war and alienating allies but the healing our country needs to do is between its citizens.

Half of us are either in the middle of reeling from just finding out that our rights as human beings literally mean less than nothing to the other half of the country or our belief that we've been discriminated against our entire lives has just been confirmed once again. And the other half is a fucked up combination of people who truly think that minorities of all kinds are in fact less worthy and people who don't seem to realize that there is no more important issue than civil rights and by choosing anything else, they've stabbed their fellow human in the back.

This is the world we live in now and to deny it is the equivalent of burying your head in the sand. You not only expect us to immediately move on but you demand it of us and deny your part in it. You do so in hypocritical tweets, revisionist history Facebook posts and memes and gifs that should embarrass you in the core of your soul rather than make you laugh.

You are sick. And not in the way you probably think I mean. Yes, your words and actions are putrid and vulgar but what I'm talking about is the way your mind works. You are deniers of fact. You refuse see to what is plainly in front of you. You look truth in the face and you call it a lie.

You call us liars.

And how can any good be done, how can any healing ever occur, how can any civilization grow when this basic, fundamental battle exists?

It can't.

It won't.

People are not stopping for a reason.

Protests are about a people refusing to be silenced. It's about people who have been shackled for too long, whose voices have been gagged their entire lives, and whose pussies have been grabbed too many times taking what's rightfully theirs.

Trust me, I'm truly sorry you have a problem with this. What I can't understand is why.

An Open Letter to America from an American

Dear The American People,

It's with much sadness that I write you this letter but I see no way around it. I agree that we've got an incredibly diverse country made up of multiple ethnicities, genders, creeds, sexual persuasions and onward but we seem to be having some troubles creating a home for such vastly different people. The way I see it, however, there really isn't so much about who we are as people that divides us and keeps us apart from one another and because of this, I'd like to put forth a new way of looking at the people who make up our forever evolving country. The grand makeup of this Union of ours doesn't, in fact, have us split up into dozens of smaller classifications of people: black, white, Hispanic, gay, Catholic, Muslim, trans, able-bodied, etc. Instead, we actually fit into two much broader classifications that, yes, we can then continue to examine until we find additional bonds that unite us and varying traits that make us multifaceted but I think people will find that these two classifications actually tell us much more about the people we're dealing with than any other way we label people in this country now.

My thesis? Our country, the great United States of America, can be divided into two distinct categories: those people who want to be on the right side of history and those who belong on the wrong side. There are a great many people who affiliate themselves with the wrong side of history (although, admittedly, I imagine they wouldn't agree with my labeling system) that have been wailing on for years about our movement forward as a country under a regime of political correctness. And in the spirit in which these free speech patriots have forever been rallying, I'm going to take up their banner for a moment and opt for the unabashed bluntness of being politically incorrect:

If you believe one race, one gender, one sexual orientation or one religion is better than another...that makes you a racist or a sexist or a homophobe or a bigot. That isn't something up for debate. Those are just words with definitions like blonde or brunette or southpaw or dentist. Now, we've been going through a lot of debate in our country from the time of its inception about what kind of connotation these beliefs have, long before we even had those words to describe them. "Separate but equal" was a big motto we went with for a long time as was "don't ask don't tell" -- both ways for us to acknowledge our differences without having to deal with them or include them in our own group's reindeer games. I do, however, feel like we've reached a point in history when we have to be a little bit more blunt -- a little more abrupt and a little more, well, rude. And I'm confident that even though some people will not agree with my premise here, those people will still be able to admit that my political incorrectness in this instance is at least something that unites us in clarity.

So, for all of those who identify with any of the labels I mentioned above (racist, sexist, homophobe, bigot) or any others that work to keep us apart instead of bring us together...the debate you've been forcing us to have for hundreds of years? Yeah, there IS NO DEBATE. A debate implies that there is the possibility of multiple outcomes or answers. A debate implies that these are opinions and the topics we're discussing have multiple sides and points of view, all of which deserve to be heard. THIS IS also NOT TRUE. It's time to take the kid gloves off and just tell it to you like it is, after all, you guys have been using this premise to discuss your views in open forum since the beginning of time. So, without further ado and explanation...to say that you're wrong is such an immensely minuscule way to phrase how motherfucking wrong you are about life that it begs me to reach through my computer screen and slap the dead soul out of your body. You're not just wrong about your take on life and how we're supposed to walk through it, you will be the absolute reason why we fail in this earthly endeavor that we're all a part of together.

And let me speak in words and sentences that will get YOUR attention instead of what the rest of the world, those of us on the right side of history, feels is the most important measuring tool. So, not your heart and not your soul. Because again, all in the sense of honesty, you people don't give a fucking fairy's ass about heart and soul. If you did, you wouldn't use your religion to damn people to hell (and there are people from EVERY RELIGION that do that even when their religions go expressly against this tenant). So, to get hip with your clan's jive, let me be honest with you about where you've gone wrong, in terms that will mean something to you. None of you people, not one of you, is anything but a goddamn IMBECILE. Seriously. Oh, you have a Ph.D.? I'm sure you do. Imbeciles can get PhDs. It says you have a Ph.D. in economics or genetics or philosophy (or whatever)? Fantastic and a hearty congratulations but you're still a fucking imbecile. And do you know why you're an imbecile? Because you, who have devoted your life to judging others (which is what it's called when you won't stop talking about how your group is better than everyone else's and you commit yourself to making sure these "others" don't get afforded the same opportunities that you do) have totally and completely missed the ENTIRE fucking point of life.

And you know what that makes you? Fucking LOSERS.

Regardless if anyone has found a complete and satisfying answer regarding the meaning of life (whether for themselves individually or for humanity as a whole), one thing that we can most definitely trust is TRUE is that dividing us against each other, refusing to work cooperatively and creating a planet and society where some people are rewarded with everything for nothing and others the entire opposite is NOT THE FUCKING POINT OF THIS WORLD. So, if that's your agenda --and let me be clear that if you believe you should be afforded more opportunities than other people that is, in fact, your fucking agenda -- then you have gotten the answer to the test question "what is the meaning of life" wrong. You had your blue book and your pencil, you came to your final exam on time, and fucking biffed it. You would've been better off just handing in a blank goddamn book than writing the drivel you believe on the pages inside. At least then, some people would've thought your forgot about the exam. Others might've thought you were taking a stand against testing policies. And some people might've even given you the benefit of the doubt and worried that you were in an accident on your way to the test. But by filling your entire blue book with words of pompous self-posturing, inflated ego-boosting that can only be compared to the mythical self-given blow job, and hate-filled words of ignorance that only go to show that you literally know NOTHING about the people you share this good Earth with, you have proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, to all of us that you have fucking FAILED the LIFE exam. And that, sirs and madams, mean that you are goddamn LOSERS.

Why, you ask? Why does this make you losers, if we don't even know who's grading the exam, if there's a curve or if the grades even count at all? For one simple reason. The world you are creating with your blind, stupid ignorance is a fucking cesspool. You are creating the Fire Swamp. And you may be the King or Queen ROUS but you're still a fucking rodent, regardless of your unusual size. So instead of creating a goddamn Shangri-La, where every inhabitant lives their best life possible, you've chosen to turn the goddamn gift that is LIFE into a fucking shithole mess. You've actually chosen to live in the Fire Swamp over Care-A-Lot.

And the thing is, even an 8 year old knows that's fucking stupid. And when an eight year old knows you're a dumbass that means you're a LOSER. So, welcome to your reality, assholes. Finals are over and you didn't make it. Your consolation prize is living in the filth you've built while the rest of us prepare for Care-A-Lot. And even if we never see that grand place in our lifetime, just working on a project so beautiful and rewarding is a gift itself. Because I may never get to see the completed work but working on a goddamn Picasso with other artists is by far more meaningful then completing the landfill you're working on.

In conclusion, I urge you to rethink the way you look at this country, seeing so many groups that keep us separate from each other and understand there are simply the two. Those in The Fire Swamp and those desperately trying to create Care-A-Lot. And it may seem like you're making more progress but that's only because you don't acknowledge anything outside of your Fire Swamp borders. But time will tell and so will history. And as you've so graciously pointed out on multiple occasions, the only way to have winners in this world is if there are losers, too. So, thank you. Thank you from all those on the right side of history. It is only because you're LOSERS that the rest of us get to be the winners we really are.

Sincerely,

A Historical Winner and one of the proud Foremothers of Care-A-Lot.

p.s. Please consider this letter notice of my official Care Bear stare.
